This video work draws from the everyday experience of taking the metro in urban environments. Through rhythmic editing and post-production techniques such as the extension of visual sequences, it depicts a state of movement within a cityscape that exists between reality and fiction. The visual structure is based on the orientation of the Paris Métro, juxtaposing several stations surrounding Châtelet within a nine-frame grid. At the center is Châtelet station—located in the heart of Paris and known as the most densely interconnected hub in the metro system. A figure moves through these nine different scenes, repeatedly going through the motions of arrival, waiting, and departure, as if caught in an endless urban labyrinth with no way out.
